I got myself this wireless keyboard mouse combo from Logitech in July 2006 and i have to say that in general i am very happy with this product.
Now i can just put my keyboard where ever i want it without the limitations of a wire.
There are some downsides to this LX300 set from Logitech. First it doesn’t have build in lights for caps lock or Num Lock if you install the software then it will show it on you screen when you press the button. But still it was easier I could just see that on the keyboard it selves.
The second things is the mouse. It works fine it is nice and small (i have small hands) BUT it eats batteries. I need to change batteries of this thing every 2 or 3 weeks and that is a bit much if you ask me. Even my Nintendo Wii Mote has a better battery live
So now i always have a extra set of rechargeable batteries here on my desk
But we need to be honest this set is cheap so don’t expect to much. For me it works perfect. The keyboard is very easy to work with with the perfect touch and the mouse give the same great feel as i want. So i guess i can live with those two minor problems that i have with this Logitech LX300 Cordless Desktop.

Nintendo did it again. This morning when I came downstairs my Nintendo Wii was asking for my attention by flashing it’s drive slot. That normally means that there is a message.
So today it was a message from Nintendo telling me that the News Channel was live and ready to go. Didn’t they plan this for tomorrow (January 27th)?????
A well it’s here. Just follow the update instructions (a new firmware update i guess) and after a couple of minutes the news channel is ready to go.
As in the news earlier this week Nintendo has made a deal with AP (associated press) to supply them with the news for the Wii. And that should mean that we get up to date news
I just did a quick look around before i wrote this review but i wanted to get the news to you as quick as i could.
The first time you start the news channel the news still needs to get downloaded this takes a couple of minutes but i guess that in the future Wiiconnect24 will make sure that it stays up to date. When you are waiting may have a little click on the cat on top
After the loading is done you can select a category to see the news messages in that group. You can also go to the globe (same one as in the weather channel) and look at the globe for news from different area’s of the world. And the more you zoom in the more it will be for that region.
The news on it self is good (as we could expect from AP) and it seems to be up to date. You can easily scroll through the message and zoom in and out. You can also click on pictures to make the big to fill the screen.
All with all a nice new FREE feature for the Wii. I will have some fun with it but i don’t know if it will really make me skip watching the news

In the Beginning of the year we got stuck in Sicamous a little town on the intersection of Highway 1 and 97A. Sicamous is not the most interesting town to get stuck in winter. We found a hotel room in the Super 8 Motel and next to that we found this nice pub on the water front called “Moose Mulligan’s”.
Moose Mulligan’s is a nice looking establishment right on the water front of Sicamous. They serve a nice diverse menu so that everybody can find something nice to eat. I got myself a Moose burger (first one ever) and it was very tasty.
Moose Mulligan’s has a few TVs hanging around like in most sports bars around the country and it also has a pool table. Unfortunately Moose was the only food place open so playing pool was not an option with all those stranded people in Sicamous (high way was closed because of the weather).
If you ever get stuck in Sicamous i would say bring a little visit to Moose Mulligan’s. The people are nice and the food is great.
Check out the Moose Mulligan’s website for more information.

Lucky Man is the book about the life of Micheal J. Fox. Micheal wrote this book himself and i would say go get a copy and enjoy it.
The book starts when Micheal Fox was still a kid in Canada and go’s all the way from TV series and Movies all the way till him being at easy with his Parkinson’s disease.
It is well written book that I really enjoyed reading and if you like Micheal J. Fox or want to know how he dealt with his Parkinson’s you should get a copy.
You will find out details about his life with his wife and kids and how difficult it was for Micheal to tell people about his disease. But it also covers things like how he completely stopped drinking and his lobbying in Washington.
This book is one of those books that should not be missing on your book shelf!
Get a new or real cheap used copy of Lucky Man at Amazon
.
And check out the Micheal J. Fox Foundation for more information about Parkinson’s research.

Sandisk Sansa 8.0gb MP3 player
I bought this item on boxing day sale for 199 CD$ discounted from 399
CD$. The price was right and I have been quite happy with it. The
feature that really attracted me to this MP3 player in comparison to
others were as follows: no hard drive (which are known to crash often as
in case of the Apple iPod, and cannot be used during sporting
activities), external minidisk slot present, slim and trim external look
(yeah this is important to me!), and easy to upload videos, pictures and
movies (at one point I had 6 episodes of South Park and Simpsons each,
to watch on a flight).
The few problems I have encountered with this player are as follows: it
takes about 1 minute to start up-SLOW!!, sometimes it gets hung (screen
turns white and is unresponsive) and the only way to reboot is to hook
it up to a computer (not very portable!), when connected to a computer
(through a cumbersome wire connection) it takes almost 2minutes to
recover once disconnected, I also really don’t like the way it sorts all
my songs into genres it prefers as opposed to my own sorting system.
All in all, am I happy I purchased this item? Yes, after surveying the
competition and for this price I am glad I have bought this MP3 player.

We got this little Brita Pitcher a couple of weeks ago and wanted to see how this water filtration would work.
We got the smallest one the 5 glasses (1 liter) version and I am very happy now that I didn’t get a bigger one. This pitcher is not easy to handle when it is full It just weighs to much to easily hold.
I guess it filters the water as it should aldoi don’t really notice a difference in water taste. But i notice that when i use a Sirop that needs water i need less sirop so it does something :).
Till now this Brita filter showed two major flaws for me. First and most important problem that i have with this filter is that the top is very difficult to get of. So every time when i need to fill my pitcher I am fighting to get the top of
Brita you could have made a better system for this.
My second problem is that the Filter is not really that secure in the pitcher. Till now it happened a couple of times that the Birta filter in the pitcher comes loose and then of course it doesn’t filter the water
Al with al the Brita filter is a good product with some flaws that I will need to learn to deal with. I now wonder how I will know when the filter really needs to be changed because two months sounds nice but when is it really done? a week or maybe 5 months??????

We got stuck in Sicamous (British Columbia) when the roads where closed because of the snow last week.
There is not much to do in this little town in winter (tourist town in summer) but they still have a Chinese Restaurant called “Jade Stone Inn” So some people of our group felt like Chinese and i felt like a burger and there menu that we found in our hotel states Chinese & Western Dishes so my friends got the Chinese food and i got the Burger.
When we ordered we asked if they put MSG in there food and they said that they normally do but if we didn’t want it they would not put any. So we made clear that we DID NOT want any MSG because two of us are allergic to it.
After 15 minutes we picked up the food and went back to our room to eat it.
To say this about the chinese food it was ok and definitely not better then ok. They are very sparse in giving you any meat in your dishes and the taste is not great to.
About my burger i have to say Don’t order it at this place it is just one of those cheap processed pieces that you can find in the superstores for almost nothing. And the fries where had so much salt on it that i could not eat them.
And then the worst of all. ALL our food has MSG in it yes all even my burger!!!
We are just lucky that our allergies are not that bad but still i would have liked it if they didn’t put any specially if they say that they won’t.
My advise to you. If you ever visit Sicamous stay away from the Jade Stone Inn Restaurant even if you can only survive on Chinese food!
