It was a nice weather on the Saturday night that we brought a visit to the Earls Restaurant in Kelowna, BC there was all kinds of things happening down town so it was busy every where. We where looking for a place on a patio but they where all full so we ended up inside but the Earls in Kelowna has a nice view over the lake front so that made up for it.
The service at earls was good and the whole ambiance was nice to. The food and drinks where served in good time and tasted good.
All with all a great experience and i would recommend a visit to earls when you get to Kelowna. The only thing i was a little bit surprised about is that earls is a bit fancy but why do they have plastic table clothes?

Last Friday at 7 P.M. I decided to go buy myself some shorts. I went to Sport Mart on the Country Village Road NE in Calgary. There was a staff of 4 and they where all enjoying themselves hanging on the counter. I was the only customer in the store but still non of the 4 even acknowledge me.
The store has a nice layout and covers most of the standard sporting equipment. So I found some shorts that I liked and went to the fitting room. this (the first fitting room from the front of the store) had some dust bunnies as big as a tennis ball in them and to me that means that they don’t clean that often.
A well the shorts fitted and so i went to pay. No problems there only why was the staff arguing who’s id would be used for this sale???????? To me nobody deserved a commission any ways because nobody even tried to help.
So my conclusion about this sport Mart (based on a couple of visits). This store is handy if you know what you want and DON’T need any help if you do need help go find another sport store because in all the times i visited this store non of the staff was up to answering even the simplest questions. One time i was looking for snowshoes and non of the staff even knew what snowshoes are.

This 5th book by J.K Rowlings was made into a movie, and came to the movie theaters on July 11th 2007.
If you are a Harry Potter fan, I can assure you that you will like this movie. Although lots of scene’s were cut from the book, the movie was packaged very well and the main themes and storyline made complete sense. Although if you are someone who hasnt read the last few books, may have some trouble understanding and knowing all the characters, not everyone was properly introduced (Tonks for instance). All in all a great HP movie, maybe even the best so far (I am biased to #3 however). The fight scene at the end is spectacular, evevn better in the movie than in the book, the special effects made it sensational. If you manage to catch this movie in an IMAX theater, the goggles make the characters come alive, although you might end up with motion sickness by the end of it

After a long drive we reached Golden, BC and decided to get something to eat.
We stopped at the Huskey Gas station where they also have a restaurant in it. The place was half empty so we decided to eat here. Then our waitress (Maureen R.) came she was short and just said that the food would take at least 1 hour.
And because we where not in a rush we decided to stay i don’t think that made our waitress very happy but she at least gave us menu’s. After that the service went down! After a while she came and took our order in a way that was even worse then you would expect in a jail. After we ordered Maureen came back and threw our cutlery and napkins on the table.
Then the drink orders came. And she forgot 1 water gave me diet cola with ice while i ordered without ice. So of course i didn’t want that drink and then i got a new Cola this time without ice but not diet any more.
We still didn’t get the water so we asked for that and she was very nice by saying that maybe next time she would bring it so we asked if we would just needed to get it ourselves from the kitchen she was not amused with that.
Then our food came in less then 20 minutes after we ordered!!!! what happened with the at least one hour wait for the food???
Can’t write anything about the food because by this time we where so disappointed about this place that we eat it but that was it.
Of course dear Maureen didn’t get a tip and i guess she should be happy that we paid at all. This was the worst service i ever got in a restaurant. Please Maureen R. do us all a favour go do something else but stop working in a place where you need to give SERVICE.
Our advice at this point is AVOID this Huskey House Restaurant in Golden

The Movie Super Size ME is all about fast food and the pro’s and Con’s about it. In this movie you see how Morgan Spurlock go’s on a 30 days diet of only Mc Donalds food and what that does to his body.
Of course before during and after the 30 days he is check regularly by 3 doctors and a dietitian. Is kinda scary to see what happened to some one when he lives on fast food for 30 days.
I would recommend everybody to see this movie. Order you copy of Super Size Me today and enjoy a fun evening whit your friends.

Saturday I found the best Ice Cream I ever ate. Sorry but there is no picture the ice cream was so good that it was gone before the camera had changes to take a picture of it 
Calgary was hot last Saturday and what is better then a nice cool ice cream. So to get our selves cooled we went to Bernard Callebaut in Kensington and we got a White chocolate vanilla soft serve ice cream. The ice cream could be served in a Cone or a Waffle. We choose the Cone and it was nice and fresh.
The White Chocolate Vanilla ice cream tasted great the nice taste of real white chocolate with a hint of vanilla to make it all to the perfect mix. This ice cream was a real treat and remember me a lot of a white chocolate mouse that I always got in a restaurant in Sweden.
White chocolate vanilla soft serve ice cream from Bernard Callebaut will from now on be on the top of my list, it is definitely the best ice cream i ever ate and let me tell you i ate a lot of ice cream in my life.

Ishmael and adventure of mind and spirit a book by Daniel Quinn.
This book is one of those books that people should read. Ishmael story can get a lot of people thinking. I will not give to much details because that would spoil the fun and this book is definitely fun to read.
The story start when a guy read the following ad in the newspaper “TEACHER seeks pupil. Must have an earnest desire to save the world. Apply in Person”
And that brings the two main characters in this book together. One (Ismael) tries to teach the other about the world and what happened to it in the years of it’s exsistens.
It is not only fun to read it but because it tell you about things that happened in this world it really makes you think. This book is has a spiritual twist and that i guess makes it not a book for everyone but if you like me enjoyed reading books like the The Celestine Prophecy
then you would definitely enjoy this book and the journey it takes us on.
I would say go see you library for a copy or order Ishmael: An Adventure of the Mind and Spirit online en help us run the side by doing so.

The Glenbow Museum is situated in the hart of Calgary very close to the Calgary Tower and contains a huge amount of interesting stuff for you to discover.
I try to see everything on my visit to the Glenbow but i would not advice you to do so. Next time i would choose for one or two subjects.
The Glenbow has a series of permanent exhibitions (Mavericks, Many faces Many paths, Niitsitapiisinni, a collections of stones and minerals and much more) and besides that there is always a new exhibition that is visiting and that will keep you coming back.
The Latest exhibition is the Maverick one and that will tell you the story of Alberta and the people that made it to what it is today.
Glenbow Museum is something that should not miss in the list of places you saw in Calgary and it is a perfect place to hang out on a cold or rainy day. Go check it out and enjoy you new found knowledge.

If you like comic books then you should have a look at Another Dimension comics in Calgary they have lots and lots (and i mean lots) of comics and all that is related to that.
Another Dimension is a nice and clean store with lots of Comics on display or nicely boxed so that you can easily find what you need. Next to the Cartoons you can also find memorabilia like statues and stuff like that.
The staff is very friendly and seem to know what they have to offer.
So if you need a comic check them out there is a big chance that they have what you don’t find easily some where else.

Bowness Park is one of the many nice parks in Calgary. But in Bowness park there is also a Mini Golf track to play on.
The mini Golf is run by the Parkside Cafe and that is where you get you ticket for the mini Golf. The Course is 18 holes and they are secluded in between lots of trees so on a hot an sunny day it will give you enough shade to cool of under.
Mini Golf in Bowness Park is not very difficult it is a pretty easy course but still lots of fun to play on. At this point i think it could get some maintenance to make it look a little bit better. But still it is lost of fun to play a quick round of mini Golf in Bowness park.
So if after a nice walk through the park you feel like some other entertainment try the Mini Golf it will keep you busy for a bit.
