If you are interested in the stock market and what happens at Shareholder meetings then this book is one you should have a look at.
Randy Cepuch offers you an inside view on Shareholder meetings. And if you are like me one of those people that like stocks and what comes with it but never visited a Shareholder meeting then you will be interested to read this book.
Ok i expected to hear more about Warren Buffett but after reading the book i can’t say that i am disappointed in the book. The book gives you a lot of information about what happens at Shareholder meetings and how different they are from company to company.
Cepuch did a lot of great research and tell you about almost everything from the free coffee to the demonstration outside or from the missing Freebies till the free paint samples.
My advice would be if you like easy to read books that tell a interesting and still funny story then have a look at A Weekend with Warren Buffett: And Other Shareholder Meeting Adventures

I am not sure if this place is classified under restaurants or is more defined as a diner. In any case, I found myself eating at Smitty’s last evening in the NE quadrant of Calgary. The service was very good, staff were extremely friendly, and the place was relatively clean. The food was quite good, some of the items on my platter were a cooler than the others, but in general everything tasted good. We were mesmerized by the very clean, very large fish tank in the middle of the room with some very healthy looking plecostemi, and other fish. We had a 20$ dinner coupon which was honored without a hitch. All in all a good experience, I have not much to complain about this place, other than the fact that the furniture was a little old and shabby but in general quite clean. I would surely go back and eat here, if I am in the NE side of Calgary.

If you are like me online a lot then you know that leaving you email address somewhere means lots and lots of extra emails your don’t really want and that means that they are SPAM.
A long long time ago I found Spam.la and that helps me once in a while.
What spam.la does is it offers you a email address you can use and even see the mail for but still you can forget about it.
It works as follows, you come to a site and they want you email address for another registration that you don’t want or need so instead of giving them a real email address you give them an address like ihatespam@spam.la and instead of getting some more emails in you inbox now it is send to spam.la and like most registrations these days you need to reconfirm you email address so now you just go to www.spam.la and there is your email available to everybody.
The nice thing is that you can filter so that you only see the email send to ihatspam
For me this tool really helps me out some times think about it next time you need a quick email address

Our local Sobeys offers Michelinas pizza for just 1 dollar so i decided to try them.
I tried the Magherita one and the Greek Recipe chicken pizza and I have to say they both are pretty good.
For the preparation of the pizza you should really follow the instructions on the box because if you don’t then it will give you a completely different and not so nice result.
The backing of this pizza is very well thought through and it will make a nice and crunchy pizza.
One thing that it noticed is that the content of each pizza can be different some have lots and lots of cheese while others just have a little bit.
My advice if you are looking for a good tasting microwave pizza look at the Michelinas they they taste much much better then the once I tried before and you can even compare this to a “real” pizza.

I got a new laptop and this time i made the switch to a Mac. And the Mac is great i am real happy with it but unfortunately i can’t run everything on it yet so i was looking how to run the two programs that i still need. I ran in to the open source program called Q Emulator and what they promise is that you can run a lot of operating systems in your Max OSx environment.
I installed Q and that went smooth and then i just followed the installation instructions for XP that i found on their website. It all went smooth although i took a long while. The minutes that Microsoft tells you that it will take are not accurate at all any more it will take a lot longer!
After the installation is done you can install a little driver that makes a share on you mac so that you can copy files between your Mac os and your Windows XP. It works fine and that makes the file transfers easy.
XP runs a lot slower then i wanted it to run. even after i gave it almost halve of my system memory (max that you are allowed to use) and get the sound driver out it still was slow but for me that was not the main reason why to stop using it.
The problems that i found was that my ftp communications where so slow that my files never got to the place they needed to go. And that was the main reason why i was using Q.
Also i found that often XP would not see cd’s that i put in the drive while the mac didn’t have problems with that.
I like Q but it just doesn’t allow me to do what i want it to do so for now i think i have to wait till i get my leopard cd from Apple and then see if i can get xp working fast next to os x.
Check out Q if you want to install another operating system in your mac environment.
You can find the Free version of Q at www.kju-app.org

This book has become my number one favorite. ‘Into the Wild’ first came out in 1996, its written in first person by Jon Krakauer, a world renowned mountaineer, and ice-climber, and author of the well known book ‘Into thin air’. In this book Jon reiterates the life of Christopher J McCandless, a young man who hailed from an affluent family, however frustrated with his life for various reasons, decides to life off the wild. After donating all of his law school college funds to Oxfam, Chris assumes the name ‘Alex Supertramp’ and lives the life of a loner, a vagrant, and a vagabond. Finally, after burning all the cash he has in his pocket, and abandoning his car, Chris ‘walks into the wild’ when he goes to live off the land in Alaska. After 110 days that Chris took to the Stampede Trail, his starved, decomposed dead body is recovered by hunters in an abandoned Fairbanks Transit bus #142 in the deep woods. This book, is written tremendously well, Jon explains carefully and accurately the journies undertaken by Alex and recounts some of his own life experience to give insights into what may have caused Chris to give a perfectly normal life and choose this so called ‘death wish’.
A profound book, with immense wisdom, and deep silence. Now a major hollowood movie directed by Sean Penn, and music by Eddie Vedder from Pearl Jam.

Ok so I have been to this restaurant like 4 times, the first time was about 1 year ago. The food was good, the meat was succulent, and the fixin’s (salad, bread potatoes) all excellent. The next 3 times oue experience got from bad to worse. THe drinks were always too dilute, the meat too tough and chewy, and this time I ordered wings, which were not HOT, had no flavour, were realy overcooked and tough to eat. My sister-in-law ordered fettuccini alfredo, it came covered in an inch thick layer of melted mozarella, there were two pieces of chicken in the whole dish, and maybe 5 pieces of cut mushroom. All in all pretty crap. I can easily say, this restuarant, although at a very convenient location is not worth the effort. I woudl urge people to drive on and look for some place with better food.
The service was so-so although the ambience is pretty nice.
