While waiting to pay at a gas station I ran in to this cool gadget for us Nintendo freaks.
A candy dispensers that looks like a Wii mote and it even has the official Nintendo Seal on it.
The Klik-On kit comes with 4 roles of candy that you can put in the top of the dispenser by moving the top of. Then you are ready to have some fun. If you press the B button (on the back) then a piece of candy comes flying out and sometimes it has a descent amount of force to hurt someone if you shoot them in the eye.
The nice thing is that they really looked at detail and so the Wii Klik-on looks like a real remote but a little bit smaller. It even has the battery compartment and that is just big enough to store 2 roles of candy in it so that you are prepared for the trip.

Nintendo is still concerned about the safety of our Wii players and their TV’s so after offering the strap replacement for the Wii Motes now they have a Jacket to cover your remote and that way making it more difficult to kill your TV.
The Wii Remote Jackets are offered for free by Nintendo. Just go the Nintendo.com and order them. I noticed that they don’t show up on the Canadian site any more but for us Canadians just go to the American page and get them there.
The Jacket is made of a soft kinda plastic and is easy to put on to you Wii Remote and if you wish also easy to remove. But after i said that i have to say that it is tight enough to that it will not fall of when you are playing a game of Wii Tennis
The head of the Wii Remote will be looking a big bigger because of more plastic padding on the top. They made the top part a bit softer so that if you hit your fellow tennis player it will not hurt as much as hitting them with the normal Remote.
I personally think that i don’t really need a cover like this but i have friends for whom it is very useful to have.
And have said all what i said till now i have to add that the Wii Remote doesn’t look half as bad as i thought in it’s new jacket.

I have a Black Nintendo DS lite and am real happy with it but now I was going on a holiday to Europe and guess what our Nintendo friends only give us a AC adapter that works on 110V so I was looking how to solve my problem so that I could charge my NDS in Europe.
And let me tell you most retailers around here didn’t have a solution for me. But after a while I ran in to the C2 Tech AC adapter that does from 110 to 240V so ideal for my trip and it has more it is a car adapter to
The nice thing about the C2 NDS adapter is that it has a wire that retractable so you just use as much wire as you want and press the button on the back when you are done and the wire goes back in. Also the Car adapter part is removable by an easy turn and the normal AC plus folds back in to the adapter. All these things make it an small and easy to pack solution.
My first experience with the C2 Nintendo adapter where not that good. After i plugged it in the green light should go on and it should start charging my DS lite but nothing happened. OK i don’t give up easy so i decided to test in the car and there it worked without a problem. So back to the house and guess what now it worked and since then it kept working well.
My Conclusion is if you are in the market for a charger that you can use in most of the world then this C2 solution can help you out. The price is right to i payed just under 10 dollars for the adapter. The fact that you can have everything in this nice small adapter really appealed to me and the fact that the wire roles to the inside makes it so much easier to store.
So if you want an charger for you NDS lite check if you can find it you will be happy with it.

Today I ran in to a little fun online game that makes you practice your typing skills in a fun way.
I learned typing a long time ago in school and then i did something like 186 letters a minute and by trying this little game i was positively impressed and what i still be able to do
The game is simple the are enemies that try to get to you and you can kill them by typing the word that is displayed below them and of course the further you get the more enemies will appear but there are special words that help you out to. Some times you see “Explode” making all the enmies explode or you words that improve you health or other cool gadget.
This game is kinda fun for a bit of relaxation and it is a good way to improve your typing as well.
I would say some minutes to spare try Qwerty Warriors 2

When I woke up this morning i found a blue flashing light coming from my Nintendo Wii, and we all know what that means by now today we got a message from Nintendo telling me about a new Channel! They of course have the option in this message to download the upgrade.
BUT after that nothing appeared
But they promised so i went on a little search and finally found the new “Everybody Votes Channel” as a free download in the shopping channel
After you have installed it and selected your region (didn’t i do that for all those extra channels by now
)you can selected the Mii’s that you want to use in this Wii Channel. You can selected up to 6 Mii to use with the everybody votes channel.
After you did that you can start voting. It is basically a simple thing you see a question and there are two answers and you drop you Mii on it to select it. So is there a question “What do like best” Dogs or Cats. After you vote you can also predict what the final verdict will be. And then i guess it is waiting till the voting is done
And we can’t see yet what that would look like.
Nintendo also gave you the option to send them new voting questions. And they are expecting a few questions i guess because they limit your entrances to 1 a day
I have to say this channel is fun. I even expect that i am gone use it more then the Weather or News channel (that i almost never use). I just hope that they come up with new question daily.
Good word Nintendo for keeping this Channel out of the news till launch

Nintendo did it again. This morning when I came downstairs my Nintendo Wii was asking for my attention by flashing it’s drive slot. That normally means that there is a message.
So today it was a message from Nintendo telling me that the News Channel was live and ready to go. Didn’t they plan this for tomorrow (January 27th)?????
A well it’s here. Just follow the update instructions (a new firmware update i guess) and after a couple of minutes the news channel is ready to go.
As in the news earlier this week Nintendo has made a deal with AP (associated press) to supply them with the news for the Wii. And that should mean that we get up to date news
I just did a quick look around before i wrote this review but i wanted to get the news to you as quick as i could.
The first time you start the news channel the news still needs to get downloaded this takes a couple of minutes but i guess that in the future Wiiconnect24 will make sure that it stays up to date. When you are waiting may have a little click on the cat on top
After the loading is done you can select a category to see the news messages in that group. You can also go to the globe (same one as in the weather channel) and look at the globe for news from different area’s of the world. And the more you zoom in the more it will be for that region.
The news on it self is good (as we could expect from AP) and it seems to be up to date. You can easily scroll through the message and zoom in and out. You can also click on pictures to make the big to fill the screen.
All with all a nice new FREE feature for the Wii. I will have some fun with it but i don’t know if it will really make me skip watching the news

Nintendo introduced the Forecast Channel. So now the people that got their hands on a Nintendo Wii can see the weather.
When you click the Forecast Icon you will be told that and update is ready for you. After the update is downloaded and Wii connect 24 is turned on your weather channel on your Wii is ready to use
I have to say that i am not impressed with the weather. Or at least it is of allot with the local weather reports. But maybe they will be right
But the world globe is great. Now you can show your kids the world map without having to get the old atlas out of the bookshelf. And just hold the button a bit and make a swing and see the world go spin
The weather info tels you the current weather, today and tomorrows weather and in some cases a 5 day view (seems to be only in North America) and you can see UV info so that you know when to put your sunscreen.
I have to say that i will probably use this tool often. It looks great and is fun to play with. I would say skip you other tasks for to day and go check it out.

Yesterday I got my first Gamecube game so now I was able for the first time to test how Gamecube games work on the Nintendo Wii. Before you can play Gamecube games you need to get yourself a Gamecube remote and memory card because the Wii remote or memory don’t work in Gamecube games
A well i got myself this stuff when i got my Wii so i was ready to play
I put the game in the Wii and yep there the Nintendo GameCube logo appeared where you normally see the game logo when you use a Wii disk. So i started the game with my Wii mote
and then i was able to play the game like it should. Everything works fine except….
I can’t exit the game. If I want to go back to the Wii mode i need to eject the disk and restart the Wii (on and off). Why didn’t Nintendo build a better way to deal with this???
A well i now have a nice new game to play and i will tell you more about that game in later versions of this blog.
And remember there are lots of nice games out there for the Gamecube and they are most times lower in price so think about that when you look for a new game.

Today Nintendo put some new virtual games on sale Ok they are not really new they are actually pretty old
But old doesn’t mean not fun. I got myself the game Columns it originally was made for the Sega Genesis console but now you can play it on your Nintendo Wii. You can get this game through the shopping channel on your Wii and it costs 800 points.
Ok lets talk game
Columns is basically a Tetris clone and lots of people including me like those kinda games. You have multiple controller options in Columns for the Nintendo Wii. You can use the Classic controller, the Game cube controller but you can also just use your Wii mote and that is what i did. Just turn you remote 90 degrees and you are ready to play.
The goal of this game is to put 3 the same colors in a row. What happens is a long block of 3 colors will fall down and you need to place it on the right spot and when it is falling you can rotate the color order so that it is the most useful for you. But do it quick because if you don’t make the quick decisions your field will fill up and then the game is over
The speed increases a fair bit in this game and for me that meant that till now i only got till level 5 but i am sure that we will beat the high score that is in the game right now
If you like Tetris then this game of Columns could be a lot of fun. And before i forget you can play it with two players so just do a little competition with your friends.

Let me talk a bit about the golf game that is a part of Nintendo’s Wii Sports.
The golf game in Wii sports can be played with up to 4 people and you don’t need 4 remotes for it
the Wii Mote (main controller) is in this game used as a golf stick. Just like in real golf you just swing the stick (wii mote) and the ball will fly.
But you need to watch you speed and be aware of the wind!
The golf courses in this game are nicely made and not to difficult to do. Aldo there are some courses in Wii golf that have cliffs and water around the putting green so it looks pretty difficult.
I like this game a lot it looks great and is a lot of fun to play alone or with friends. And the nice thing is that Wii sports comes for free with the Nintendo Wii.
