Finger Eleven and the Free Juno Concert in Calgary

Finger Eleven and the 2008 juno awards

Yesterday was the day for the free concert on Olympic Plaza in Calgary all to start of the Juno days.

I went to see the last band of the day Finger Eleven Calgary did a great job arranging this concert. The atmosphere down town was great and lots of people showed up and enjoyed the music. It was nice to see that people just accepted each other with out any problem and it was specially nice to see that even the homeless seem to enjoy the Concert.

Finger Eleven did a great job entertaining the crowed and the 45 minutes that they where on stage where a great way to enjoy an nice evening outside. The band did a great job trying to involve the crowds in there music. I guess that the Finger Eleven people really seem to enjoy them selves on stage and they are a couple of strange characters :)

I guess the lead singer needs to work a bit on his jokes but besides that they really got the party going.

All said and done I think that Calgary did a great job getting this party going downtown. There where lots of police, ems and so on available but everything was calm and i think even they had a great time enjoying the concert.

Public transport also seem to have done a great job because the LRT was not overcrowded even just after the concert.

I have to say Good job hope we can do this again someday!

Great band and they are much better live then on their Cd’s and to me that means if you have the option to see them live GO for it!
