Stop you engines.
You see them every where people waiting in there cars waiting for others to come.
Nice i do this to when i pick up my wife. But WHY does the engine have to be on??????
Your car will not cool down that much in the 5 / 10 minutes you are standing there. And by turning you engine of you save a lot of that expensive fuel you are complaining about 
and you also keep the air around you a little bit cleaner.
